  • www.carinsurance.org/: An extremely detailed site offering an abundance of information about your vehicle.
  • www.auto.howstsuffworks.com: Offers explanations and diagrams for almost everything automotive under the sun.
  • www.fueleconomy.gov: A good place to look up the fuel economy ratings for your vehicle.
  • www.hybridcars.com: A great starting point for researching Hybrids.
  • www.toptiergas.com: Good resource to find quality fuel brands. This site lists the fuel companies which have voluntarily conformed to standards higher than the federal government regulations.
  • www.tirerack.com: A great resource for learning about (and purchasing) tires, wheels, brakes and suspension parts.
  • www.cartalk.com: Car Talk shares car advice with humorous asides and the site has many useful links. Catch their radio show on NPR on the weekends! See the review of High Road.
  • www.edmunds.com: A great site to price used cars. Their calculation of local market value seems to be more realistic than other sources.
  • www.kbb.com: Popular site for checking the value of a new or used car. Many times dealers use the Kelly Blue Book price to list cars. KBB tends to reflect the higher end of the local market value of a car.
  • www.aaawa.com: AAA provides a multitude of services including a comprehensive list of all AAA Certified Shops across the U.S. and Canada.
  • www.asecert.com: Click on the motorist tab and then check out the articles. Though the website is somewhat complex, it has a number of articles and tips on what to look for in a good repair shop and how to find one. The Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) organization provides automotive technicians with competency testing and certification. ASE also provides information about the latest automotive technology.
  • www.asashop.org: If you ever move and need to find an above average auto repair facility, the Automotive Service Association (ASA) website has a great shop-locator tool. High Road is a member of this national trade association; which is dedicated to improving the quality of repair shops nationwide.
  • www.carfindersedmonds.com: If you want to buy a car, these guys can help. They act as a broker and help you find the car you want at a wholesale price. The service is not free but can be very helpful if you find yourself looking for a used car and wishing that you had an advocate or personal buyer with great connections.
